This issue of our newsletter brought to you by Thrifty Traveler Premiumβ Hello Reader, π§ Where in the World? As you read this, we're about to head home after three weeks in Valencia, Spain. We'd been to Valencia several years ago, but only for a couple of days, and when not much special was going on. This time, we coordinated our visit with the famous Fallas Festival, and also made time to see some wonderful museums and eat paella at least four times. A more comprehensive post on Valencia will be coming soon, but in the meantime, read about the Fallas (link below.) 𧳠Our Latest PostsThe Fallas of Valencia ended 12 days ago and our ears have finally stopped ringing enough to write up a post on what is easily the most intense festival we've ever attended. (We are scheming now on getting to the running of the bulls in Pamplona this year or next, and that's probably the only festival that can rival the Fallas.) If you like spectacular, fantastic art, and don't mind a constant barrage of fireworks, the Fallas are for you. We're so glad we finally got to experience it in person. And, we're seriously considering making it an annual ritual. There's no other fiesta like it. ποΈ Travel News From Around the Web

Hello Reader, π§ Where in the World? As this email sails out to you, we've just reentered the United States for the first time since Global Entry was suspended. (It went smoothly.) Since we headed to South America a mere three weeks ago, Global Entry services have been cut off, the Mideast war has taken off, and millions of people around the world are suffering consequences of warfare. We donβt know how many Americans are still trying to find their way out of conflict zones. Our little matter...
Hello Reader, One of our favorite things about Santiago is that some neighborhoods are covered in murals like this one. π§ Where in the World? We escaped the Twin Cities just in time to avoid traffic slip sliding around in the slush. Today, weβre in sunny Santiago, Chile, revisiting the Bellavista neighborhood we lived in 15 years ago. We've met up here with a group of old and new friends to taste some wine, read some poetry, absorb some culture, and maybe even dance a few tango steps when we...
Hello Reader, Kris had some company on Buye Beach, Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. π§ Where in the World? In January, Kris had a few days in Puerto Rico, and Tom took a quick trip to Vegas. Now weβre back in wintry Minnesota, doing our best to stay on top of travel news, world news, and, of course, the Minnesota Olympic athletes competing in curling, alpine and cross-country skiing, hockey, speedskating, snowboarding, and more! But mostly curling. In Minneapolis, weβre lucky to see β on one short...
